Driving Dan's Honda, December 1992 - Dan Norton was moving from Redlands, CA to his mom's house in Santa Clara, CA and needed help driving one of his cars north. I rode down in the back of his covered pickup, tried to sleep most of the way, since we drove overnight. We got to Redlands early the next morning. I had breakfast with Dan's family, then started the long drive home. I had trouble staying awake over the last few hours, but I made it home. In exchange for my help, Dan gave me a 20" Panasonic TV that I still use as of this writing (2010).

Mount Tallac, May 1992 - A moderately large group of us started from the Stanford Sierra Camp and hiked the most direct route to Gilmore Lake and then to the summit of Mt. Tallac (9735ft) where we enjoyed lunch with a commanding view of the South Lake Tahoe region. We hiked down the east ridge and then directly down to Fallen Leaf Lake.

Butano State Park, March 1992 - David and I hiked a loop up the Olmo Trail, through the Linder Grove, and back down the South Butano Fire Trail.
