Note that I forgot to load my water bottles. Turns out that I didn't need them, but I like to carry at least one small bottle to fill my bladder 2in case the only water is from a low-clearance faucet.

Wards Ferry Road continues to descend.

The bridge spans the Tuolumne River, which at this point of its course an arm of Don Pedro Reservoir.

Note the outhouse at the far end of the bridge. The NFS apparently thinks enough people visit this spot to linger that it's worth putting in toilet to keep people from fouling the river below.
