View is to the northwest. On the left we see Sawyer Ridge. In the distance to the left we can see the east side of Sweeney Ridge. The valley between it and the low hump at the far end of the lake marks the trailhead for the Sweeney Ridge Trail. Skyline Blvd. passes to the right of the low hump, and I-280 lies out of sight behind the trees at the top of the low ridge to the right of the lake.
The San Andreas Fault passes directly underneath the lake and through the earthen dam upon which this picture was taken.
