We opted not to try this route but to descend the same route we climbed. The idea of the devil we knew vs. the devil we didn't had appeal at this point in the hike. From further down we could see that this descent route ended in a field of large talus. Perhaps this route is clear of snow earlier in the season than The Notch and its approach.
