The chute we would like to explore next time passes to the left side of the headwall. This year there was quit a bit of snow, although even so, it looked like it might be passable by scrambling to the side.
The chutes to the right of the headwall are longer, steeper, and while they would deposit one higher on the crest, a difficult downclimb to Deer Lakes would need to be undertaken on the other side.
