At the left we can see Alpine Rd. begin its long descent to Pescadero Rd. Butano Ridge can be seen in the distance. Pescadero Creek lies at the bottom of the canyon between the road and Butano Ridge. The grassy hill standing alone to the right is Mindego Hill (2143ft), an extinct volcano.
