I'm surprised Michelle was struck here in this very wide bike lane. I assume the memorial, about 0.2 miles east of I-280 on Woodside Rd. marks the spot where Michelle was struck by the car that drifted into the bike lane. As one can see in the photo, bike and motor traffic entering I-280 north cross about 200 feet further up the road, and it is here that I would expect conflict to occur.
