Our route to Deer Lakes takes us to the low point (drain) on the far ridge at the center-left of the photo.
Another view of the Coldwater Creek watershed can be had by hiking out to the far right-hand side of the plateau, but the round-trip distance is about 2/3-mile, and we got much the same view at the Barney Lake viewpoint.
