At the left David is stooping for something interesting, then we see the Trappers Trail ascend to Shotgun Bend. The ridge has been cleared of brush, and the tractor and hardware to accomplish this appears to be parked up the trail.
Moving to the right we see the upper reaches of Los Trancos Creek, Los Trancos Woods, and Russian Ridge. Moving further to the right we can see Mt. Melville, the vineyards at Fogarty Winery, and Windy Hill. Behind and slightly to the right of Windy Hill we see Kings Mountain. To the right of Kings Mountain we see fog pushing in over Sweeney Ridge and breaking against San Bruno Mountain, behind which rises Mt. Tamalpais. The skyline of San Francisco can just been seen, and San Francisco Bay three bridges, Bay, San Mateo, and Dumbarton are also visible.
In the far distance Mt. St. Helena is barely visible through the haze, and in the east bay, Mt. Diablo can be seen rising above the lower ridges. At the right Debra and Randall enjoy the view looking down on Felt Lake and the hills at Stanford surrounding "The Dish".
