At the far left is Shepherd Crest and Mt. Conness. Moving to the right one can see the tip of Cathedral Peak appearing next to Tenaya Peak. To the right is Tressider Peak and Columbia Finger (the rock pinnacle at the end of Tressider Peak), then Echo Peaks and the high point of the range, Echo Ridge, where we hiked a week earlier. The next wall of granite is Matthes Crest. Then we see the walls of Tenaya Canyon and Clouds Rest, Quarter Domes, Mt. Clark and the other peaks in the Merced Range, then the northwest face of Half Dome comes into view. Further to the right is Glacier Point, Sentinel Dome, and Illilouette Ridge.
