Tom Breedlove and Bill Bates discuss the energy limit conflict in the rules for the eCat1 race.

The eCat1 race is 20 miles long with a limit of 15 wh/mile and 350 watt-hours. The problem is that 350 watt-hours is 17.5 wh/mile. They decide to allow 350 watt-hours. Unfortunately, I couldn't get that much out of my motor system that had been set up to allow only slightly over the 300 watt-hour limit when cruising in top gear, so the extra allowance was not much use to me. In hindsight, I might have done better to run at 48 volts.
