(l to r): In the far distance one can see the north end of the Santa Lucia Mountains of Monterey County and Monterey Bay. Ben Lomond Mountain (2650ft at the highpoint, along which runs Empire Grade Rd.) is the next distant ridge to the right (and much closer). Pine Mountain (2280ft) stands by itself to the right of Ben Lomond Ridge, separated by the Scott Creek drainage. In front of Pine Mountain one can see the southeastern end of Butano Ridge. The visible watershed all drains into the San Lorenzo River.
